I’m very grateful for the 9-0 decision – Trump reacts to ruling backing ban on Muslims


Donald Trump​, US President, has reacted to​ his victory at the Supreme Court on Monday. The US apex court ruling reinstate​d​ Trump’s travel ban targeting citizens from six mainly Muslim countries​ – Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen.
“​V​ery grateful for the 9-O decision from the U. S. Supreme Court. We must keep America SAFE!​”, Trump tweeted Monday evening.​
Earlier, Trump said in a statement released by the White House​that, “Today’s ruling allows me to use an important tool for protecting our nation’s homeland​.​
”​Today’s unanimous Supreme Court decision is a clear victory for our national security.
“It allows the travel suspension for the six terror-prone countries and the refugee suspension to become largely effective.
”​As president, I cannot allow people into our country who want to do us harm.”
